Sprouting Up Ramen dish at Jinya Toronto

Jinya is a funky little restaurant with a slick decor and upbeat ambiance.

I had the leaf salad, followed by the fried chicken and the Tonkotsu White ramen bowl (my dinner companion had the Tonkotsu Spicy option, which is the large image). The leaf salad was tasty and fresh, with a well-balanced dressing. The fried chicken leaned a little salty for my personal tastes, and came with a small dish of soy sauce and a touch of the same dressing as the salad. The ramen was good, well-seasoned and a decent amount of goodies, though the broth was a bit unclear and starchy.

Generous with the wine, this is a good place to meet a couple of friends to have a good meal and a laugh before heading out on the town, or on a cold or rainy night.
